Event Details

What is a R.O.N. Symposium?  It’s a one day opportunity to learn all you need to know about how technology is revolutionizing the way notarizations are done and how it will impact you and your business.

Who should attend?  Everybody who has documents that require notarization – Business owners and managers, title companies, commercial lenders, banks and credit unions, lawyers and paralegals, state and local government administrators, and, of course, notaries public who will be called upon to offer this service.

Why should notaries attend?  Notaries are at the forefront of technology based notarizations – they are the ones who will provide these services.  Notaries must know what the legal, ethical, and practical ramifications of R.O.N., IPEN, and remote notarizations are in order to make proactive decisions going forward.  They also need to compare and contrast the various Solution Providers and business models in order to choose the system that works for them, whether they are interested in being a self-employed mobile notary, an independent contractor working with one of the companies offering remote notary services, or an “in-house” notary whose customers don’t always find it convenient to get documents notarized in person.  “Be Prepared” isn’t just for Boy Scouts anymore!

Why should legal professionals attend?  Have you ever had a client who was out of town – or out of the country – and you needed a document signed and notarized immediately?  What about a transaction that required multiple signers located all over the world?  How about your elderly or house-bound clients who have difficulty coming into your office to finalize important legal papers?  Or the client who is incarcerated a couple of hundred miles away?  Technology-based notarizations could be the answer to faster, easier, more secure and less stressful transactions.  And you can earn Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits (1 hour General, 1 hour Ethics) for attending the Symposium!

Why should business owners and managers attend?  Today’s business environment demands that transactions be done at the speed of…business.  And to the average consumer that means yesterday if possible and now at the latest.  On top of that, security is a prime consideration.  Technology-based notarizations offer a level of reliability and security that is not even possible with a traditional notarization.  Learn how this exciting development can meet your customers’ expectations and provide you with the short and long-term document security and protections you need.  Put R.O.N. to work for you!

Why should government administrators attend?  Let’s face it – government generates most of the documents that require notarization.  Discover how you can take control of your documents – get them completed correctly and notarized promptly by having trained staff or trusted independent notaries contracted to handle the paperwork for you.  Reduce stress and eliminate FOMO – focus forward!

The R.O.N. Symposium …  Bringing providers, businesses, government, consumers, and notaries together to discover how technology will change the way notarizations are done in Montana.
