HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen joins Montanans across the Treasure State in celebrating a special Independence Day as our nation marks America’s 250th birthday.
“This is a historic day for America, and we’re blessed to join the celebration of 250 years of our great nation,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “This Fourth of July, we celebrate 250 years of freedom, ideas, collaboration, and patriotism. I’m proud to join Montanans in reflecting on the values that formed the greatest country on earth.”
Earlier this week, Secretary Jacobsen delivered printed copies of the Declaration of Independence to the Helena Regional Airport, ensuring every departing passenger receives a copy as they board their flights. She was joined by airport officials and Montana’s 250th Commission.
Secretary Jacobsen also created a special patriotic design for the Constitution booklets she has delivered since taking office in 2021. Montanans may request a Constitution by emailing [email protected].
“These documents are the foundation of our rights and responsibilities as United States citizens, and there’s no better day to highlight their importance than on our nation’s 250th birthday,” Secretary Jacobsen said.
Secretary Jacobsen also unveiled a video commemorating 250 years of American history. To view the video, click the featured image of this release or visit Secretary Jacobsen’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/share/v/195AGBktJq/.
