HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen marked Manufacturing Day 2025 by commending manufacturing businesses across the state for their positive impact on Montana’s economy.

According to the Manufacturing Institute, Manufacturing Day is held annually on the first Friday in October and “demonstrates the reality and future of modern manufacturing careers. ” It highlights the exciting careers, cutting-edge technologies, and real-world impact of modern manufacturing.

“Today, we celebrate the spirit of manufacturing in Montana,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Our manufacturers embody the values of quality, sustainability, and resilience. They are essential to creating jobs, driving innovation, and ensuring that ‘Made in Montana’ signifies excellence.”

Secretary Jacobsen recently joined industry professionals and several Montana manufacturing professionals to discuss the Small Business Administration’s “Made in America Manufacturing Initiative,” which aims to improve manufacturing opportunities and assist small businesses with exporting their products globally.

Business owners and professionals highlighted the direct benefits of Secretary Jacobsen’s initiatives to cut and waive fees, provide 24/7 services to businesses, and increase efficiencies in the Secretary of State’s Office. These measures have allowed Montana businesses to focus on their daily operations, foster growth by hiring more workers, expand into new markets, and create exceptional products made in Montana.

“In Montana, every day is Manufacturing Day. It’s not just a recognition of past achievements, but a call to action for the future,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “We must continue to invest in Montana manufacturing, support our local businesses, and ensure Montana remains a national leader in quality and innovation.”
