HELENA, Mont. — Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen joined staff and community members Monday morning to volunteer at Helena Food Share, lending a hand to support local families ahead of the holiday season.

“Helena is incredibly fortunate to have such a well-run and compassionate organization like Helena Food Share,” Secretary Jacobsen said. “It is an invaluable resource to the Helena community, and I’m proud to support its mission.”

Secretary Jacobsen and her staff spent the morning stocking the food shelves, loading groceries into vehicles, and assisting with traffic flow during the drive-through food distribution. The volunteer effort was part of a broader initiative by the Secretary of State’s Office, which also hosted a November food drive that collected and donated 834 pounds of food to Helena Food Share.

“It’s so important to give back, especially this time of year,” Secretary Jacobsen said. “I’m grateful to everyone who donated food and volunteered their time to help make a difference.”

Secretary Jacobsen encourages all Montanans who are able to donate to their local food bank or food share to do so this holiday season.
