HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen announced the release of the 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet (VIP), providing Montanans with information about the statewide ballot issues appearing on the November 3 General Election ballot.
This year’s VIP continues the celebration of #America250, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. The pamphlet’s patriotic cover features stars and stripes, fireworks, and America’s signature red, white, and blue imagery.
“Montana’s 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet recognizes the historic moment for our country as we continue celebrating 250 years of freedom,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Montanans have an important civic duty to participate in our electoral process, and I encourage every eligible Montanan to review the pamphlet and be prepared to make their voice heard this General Election.”
Secretary Jacobsen published the 2026 VIP this week to serve as a resource for Montana voters ahead of Election Day. County election offices will mail one physical copy of the VIP to each household with an active, registered voter. Alternative formats will also be available.
The pamphlet contains the three qualified, statewide ballot issues, their proposed changes to the Montana Constitution and state law, and arguments for and against each ballot issue. It also contains important voter information and resources.
“As Montanans prepare to head to the polls in November, the Voter Information Pamphlet is an important resource for the statewide ballot issues, helping voters understand each measure, what it does, and how it would change our Constitution and laws,” said Secretary Jacobsen.
Montanans can access the online version of the VIP by visiting https://sosmt.gov/elections/vip/. Voters can also visit the Secretary of State’s https://VoteMT.gov website to check their registration, view their sample ballot, and find additional election resources.
The 2026 General Election is already underway for Montana military and overseas voters. County election officials will mail absentee ballots to registered absentee voters by October 9. Polling places will be open statewide on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.
