HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen says that absentee ballots for Montana’s November 3rd General Election are headed to mailboxes across the state.

Secretary Jacobsen announced today that county election offices are issuing more than 575,000 absentee ballot packets to active, registered absentee voters. Eligible Montanans registered to vote absentee can expect their ballots to arrive in the coming days.

“I encourage Montanans to visit VoteMT.gov to view their sample ballot, track their absentee ballot, and prepare to make their voices heard on November 3rd,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “The Montana Election Team is honored to serve our voters!”

Absentee ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. Voters are encouraged to return their ballots promptly and are reminded to follow the instructions provided by their county election office.

Secretary Jacobsen and the Montana Election Team are also providing important reminders to voters who choose to cast their ballot in person at the polls. Voters can find their polling place and sample ballot at VoteMT.gov, as well as the required photo voter identification, including common examples such as a driver’s license, military or tribal ID, and U.S. passport.
