HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen joined Governor Greg Gianforte and Republican legislators to sign legislation into law that will provide historic tax cuts to Montana businesses. Governor Gianforte announced in a press release this week that House Bill 210 will provide a $250 million tax cut for Montana businesses. “Thanks to our pro-jobs, pro-family policies, Montana is experiencing a historic stretch of low unemployment. With this tax cut, we are creating an environment where more Montanans can thrive,” Governor Gianforte said.
Secretary Jacobsen and the Governor joined the bill sponsor, House Majority Leader Steve Fitzpatrick (R-Great Falls), Rep. Ed Buttrey (R-Great Falls), Montana Department of Labor & Industry Commissioner Sarah Swanson, and members of the Dick Anderson Construction team at the Confluence Apartment construction site in Helena on Thursday afternoon.
“Under Republican leadership, Montana has had record new business growth in each of the past four years, including nearly 64,000 new businesses created in 2024,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “By continuing to remove red tape, provide historic tax cuts, and get government out of the way, Montana businesses can thrive and positively impact their communities.” Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen speaks during a bill signing celebration in Helena.
