HAMILTON, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen continues to deliver on her campaign promises.

Secretary Jacobsen visited Hamilton High School on Thursday, delivering more than 100 United States and Montana Constitutions to students. Secretary Jacobsen met with staff and visited the classroom of civics teacher Kiah Nisly for a question-and-answer period with students.

“It was great to meet the staff and students at Hamilton High School,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Seeing our youth engaged in civics was wonderful, and credit goes to Hamilton’s staff for educating the students on such a significant topic in our country.”

Thursday’s trip was the latest commitment to fulfill Secretary Jacobsen’s campaign promise to ensure that students receive a United States and Montana Constitution.

“It’s important for our youth to understand the history of the Constitution and how it works for them, even to this day,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Getting a Constitution in the hands of students across the state remains a top priority as we educate future voters.”

Since taking office, Secretary Jacobsen has mailed more than 3,000 United States and Montana Constitutions, while handing out hundreds more.
