HELENA, Mont. — In celebration of National Small Business Month, Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen is honoring local businesses statewide for their positive impact on our communities and state.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, representing innovation, entrepreneurship, and resilience,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “I am proud to recognize these businesses’ contributions to creating jobs and supporting local economies across Montana.”
“The Secretary of State’s Office is the first stop for these businesses, and we’re honored to assist with their registration so they can take their dreams to Main Street,” she added.
According to data from the U.S. Small Business Administration, more than 95 percent of Montana businesses are estimated to be small businesses, providing meaningful employment opportunities for Montanans statewide. Montana’s small businesses are vital to the state’s economy and essential to their communities.
Secretary Jacobsen encourages all Montanans to recognize and support their local small businesses.
“Montana is blessed to be home to thousands of wonderful small businesses, each filled with hard-working owners and employees who embody the spirit of our communities,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Small businesses are the heartbeat of Montana. I’m deeply grateful for their contributions, creating jobs, fostering innovation, and continuing to share the values that make Montana the Last Best Place.”
“Thank you for doing business in Montana!” Secretary Jacobsen added.
